Dear Yunz Mac friends:

Bob forgot to note a few details. (Journalism these days, feh..)

a) Yes, one CAN take an eMac apart, swap out the bad-capacitor logic board, and get 'er back together in 62 minutes.
b) If we manage to collect and repair 40 of same, we'll actualy keep ONE TON of gear out of the scrap bins.
c) Yes, I had one screw left over, and forgot to reconnect the speakers.
d) My previous offer is still open and untaken: I will perform a free capacitor repair for the first taker out there in eMac Land!
Marty Swartz is taking our opinion of an eMac repair personally, and came in to prove just how easy it is. History will not note the importance of the issue, but rest assured neither side convinced the other of their respective positions. Just suffice it to say Marty has no fear, and is a whiz at this.
But we're not. We will not be taking a disassembled eMac home to meet mom.

<snip>

--
Eighty percent of success is showing up. - Woody Allen
http://abbott-street.blogspot.com/
