Question for the list

Hi folks,

As I have several times before, I just migrated all my data from a previous Mac to my newest. All went well, except for two strange (and right now, seemingly minor) problems. Any advice most appreciated!

Windows, which was installed on my previous machine (a MacBook with the Intel chip of course), went into a folder called “Files from . . . “ and appears no longer to be operational. I have not “experimented” to see why this is the case for fear of mucking something up. I have AppleCare and can certainly call them but thought I’d try the list first. See attached image I “grabbed.”

Another problem that’s reared its head — every time I plug in my jump drive or iPod, a virus scan program starts up. It seems to me to be some lost remnant of some version of a Norton program, but I cannot find it anywhere on my machine and I am reluctant to start hacking and whacking at preference files and such. Nothing in applications, nothing pops under recent items when it runs — nothing in system preferences. VERY strange. Image also attached.

Guidance on either of these most appreciated!
