[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, Friday, March 12, 1010

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, Marty Swartz and Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center today.

We crawled though an abbreviated workday today after a later-than-normal start. We lined up a couple more eMacs with probable bad capacitors for the Marty Swartz rescue mission, and one logic board is already in his workshop and the soldering gun heating up as you read this.

We refurbished six Macs today to bring our all-time total to 2,364. Three other Macs were de-manufactured, and two CRT 17-inch Studio Displays were sent along the recycling chain.

Today was unusual as we took in six Mac from the week's donations, and there were four keyboard and mice. We're still running a serious deficit though.

Our next scheduled workday is Friday, March 19.
