Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, Tucker Trainor, Marty Swartz and Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center today.

I have no clever stories to report tonight. Sorry, I'll try better next week.

Marty Swartz is taking our opinion of an eMac repair personally, and came in to prove just how easy it is. History will not note the importance of the issue, but rest assured neither side convinced the other of their respective positions. Just suffice it to say Marty has no fear, and is a whiz at this.

But we're not. We will not be taking a disassembled eMac home to meet mom.

There was only one Mac in the donation bin this week (and NO keyboard or mouse), so we were able to dig into the basement stock to make a dent there. We refurbished 15 Macs to bring our all-time total to 2,358. Eight others were de-manufactured.

Our next scheduled workday is Friday, March 12, but Charlie and I will be arriving a couple hours later than usual after I visit the dentist early in the morning. If you're first in the door, please check out the intake area for new Mac donations.

We hope to see you there!
