[NPMUG] True story .... "you don't know what you've got till it's gone ...."

Got a call late last night after the NPMUG meeting.

A client of mine, that I have not heard from in over a year, calls to  
tell me they bought Snow Leopard, installed it as per the instructions  
on their iMac , and now everything is gone.  They have lost all their  
data.  They cannot explain how or why ....


Now let's take a closer look:

1. They state they were not backing up ( yes, I showed them how and  
even got the equipment for them long ago ).

2. They have years of precious photos and emails  ... that now, when  
gone,  have so much special meaning.

3.  I'm headed over there today to survey the situation .... I will  
report back here what I find.


I mention this here because "you don't know what you've got till it's  
gone ...."

I'm hoping all is better than it appears.  But for now, they are VERY  
distraught.
