The next SHV MUG meeting will be this Saturday at 9am

That's right - 9am (not 10am) - the store has told us that would be
better for them, so we'll give it a try and see. The nice thing is the
store will be closed, so we should be able to pick our spot and not
have to compete with people playing music.

The agenda will be:

1) News and articles from the Apple world
2) All the new gear! - New iMacs, Mac Mini, Macbook! A closer look at
the new tech

Also, I'd like some feedback for the November and December meetings -
in particular, if there's a time/day people would prefer (rather then
Sat. morning), if people would prefer a different location, and
requests for topic ideas.

In particular, if you'd like to attend the meetings but can't because
of the items above let me know! I want to make them as convenient as
possible for everyone. About a year ago we switched from Sunday
afternoon to Saturday morning based on attendee requests, but
attendance dropped. So I'm trying again - would a weekday be better?

For topic ideas- as most of you know, I tend to be pretty technical,
and it's been suggested I convert the meetings into a Q&A/tech support/
query session - you email me problems you're having, or questions
about particular Mac tools/terminology/features; then I pick one or
two that appear common and spend some time exploring the issue and
underlying technology. Would that be something people would be
interested in? I wouldn't want it to devolve into a "let's all deal
with my one issue" meeting format, but instead a way for me to present
some OSX features and knowledge with more direct impact on your use.

Please join me this Saturday for a look at the new toys, and let me
know your feedback!

Charles
