[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, October 9

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, John Hamill, Tucker  
Trainor, and Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill Computer  
Recycling Center today.

Today, we finally got through the large Keystone Oaks Schools donation  
of 2007, imaging the last of the slot-load CD iMacs. This donation   
(400 Macs) had a very high proportion of usable Macs. Today, we  
refurbished 23 Macs with only two that were de-manufactured. this  
makes our all-time total is now 2,212.

We still have a critical shortage of Apple mice and keyboards. We do  
not have enough of either to supply the iMacs we have already  
refurbished. Please check those closets and drawers....

A construction note: It's still there, only it's even worse. You know  
what to do :-)

We will have our next workday on Friday, October 16. Hope to see you
