[NPMUG] Verizon Droid Tethering Will Cost You - Business Center - PC World

In an unsurprising turn of events, Verizon decides to cost even more
then AT&T does when it comes to smart phones.

The new Motorola Droid is $199, but the "unlimited" data plan is an
extra $30/month. That caps out at 5GB (that's what unlimited means,
after all)- it's $50 for each Gig over that. Then there's tethering -
which will also be $30/month. (Also capped at 5GB)

And neither of those plans allows for connectivity to Microsoft
Exchange (somehow, that data is magically different from other data) -
that'll be another $15/month

Now, I'm no fan of AT&T but at least they charge $30/month for actual
unlimited data, and don't treat Exchange as somehow magical. And the
extra $50 for that 6th Gig of data is amusing - it only cost me $50 to
get 5GB of data *while abroad* on AT&T.
