[NPMUG] 12 year celebration our Macintosh User's Group ... and some dandy topics

-  iPhone 3.0 and reviews ( a look at all the new features with a  
couple of cool tools called iPhoneSimulator 0.9 by Stand Alone, iPhone  
Simulator 3.0  by Apple and PhoneFinger 1.1 by Dan Grover. )

-  Fujitsu SnapScan 510M  Mac version of this super-fast / super- 
featured scanner - a live demo.

-  VLC 0.9.8 and YouTubeDownloader 1.8 ... two free apps that work  
together to get YouTube videos downloaded and viewed on your Mac.

-  Flip4Mac 2.2.1  ... a QuickTime plugin for viewing  WMV videos on  
your Mac.

- Tim Carras of Comen VFX in Santa Monica, we look at some of Peter  
Carras' son's work in the movie industry in California.  We'll Tim's  
GarageBand commercial.mp4 .... a project that would make any dad  
proud .... especially  Peter Carras of the COWMUG.

- Twitter - we'll look at the way David Pogue explains it ..... and  
then lives it ..... and the "hiccups" experiment at Columbia.

- Conficker Worm  is to hit Windows PC users on April 1 ... we'll  
discuss it ....

- Trojan Horses can be allowed on your Mac .... see this video ....  
and don't allow it to happen to you.

1996 - 2009 we'll celebrate as we  enter into our 13th year as an  
Apple User Group.

We started as an idea on the back of a napkin in 1996, meeting at the  
Northland Public Library  :-)
