[NPMUG] A great free replacement for AppleWorks (Word Processor)

I had a need for a basic word processing. I find that Word and Pages
are too much for my needs and are a bit cumbersome to use for basic
documents. However, TextEdit is too minimal.

Several months ago I came across Bean. Its a lightweight word
processor that has all the features I use on a regular basis and not
of the bulk of Word or Pages. It launches quickly, simple to use and
learn, and is rock solid. I know a lot of long time Mac users still
use AppleWorks for these reasons. If you are still using Appleworks,
this is worth a look.

It also saves files in .rtf, .doc, and .docx formats so you can share
documents easily with other people not using Bean.

Best of all it's free...
