Many new features are in the excellent demo given by Apple's Scott
Forstall and team ....

Two absolutely key features :
Copy, Cut, Paste
Spotlight Search
These are most worth trumpeting to any Blackberry, Palm or other
smart-phone competitor first thing tomorrow.
:-)
Other announcements that are very cool :
MMS - Multi-Media Messaging of text, photos, audio, and map locations
Bluetooth Peer to Peer sharing - so you can now "beam" your business
card and much more to colleagues in the same room, no WiFi required.
Push Notifications - so you won't need to have apps open to get
updates, this saving battery life by visual or sound badges letting
you know you have data waiting.
Landscape Keyboard - in most apps like Mail, Notes, SMS ....
Turn by Turn GPS - API's now available for Garmin, TomTom and others
to go on to develop next generation satellite + cell phone better GPS
devices.
In App purchasing - now you can just buy things inside apps, without
having to go back to the App Store.
