[NPMUG] Selling a few things

Hi all, just wanted to shoot this out to the group before I posted it up in
the classifieds and what not.

I've got a silver 15" G4 Powerbook, and a desktop PC, that work but that I
do not use often anymore and due to the circumstances of the move I'm about
to make, am unable to take with me.  I hope that it is alright to send this
out to the list, I wasn't quite sure what the protocol was on this but
wanted to offer them to the group first.

The Powerbook is the 1.5GHz model.  It has 1GB of RAM, airport, 75GB hard
drive.  The battery still works, though it's older so of course it does not
last as long.  I can't provide a terribly accurate estimate of how long it
would last as normally I've used the computer in places where I've been able
to plug it in, but the last time I ran it from battery I had it running for
over an hour and the battery was still not drained when I was finished and
plugged it back in.

The case of course shows normal wear.  The only real damage to the casing is
in the back left corner, it has a dent (not sure what happened here, it was
like this when I purchased it used a couple of years ago), but it does not
effect any functionality.

Besides that, the only issue with it is the usual problem with the power
input board where the connector needs to sometimes be twisted for it to
connect and light up to accept a charge.  It runs fine from the adapter and
charges quickly as well.  This can be fixed by replacing the DC in board,
however I haven't had the time to tackle the project myself.  Last I looked
they were running bout $80 online.

I have a fresh and up to date install of 10.5 running on it now.   Asking
$400 for the computer, but I'm more than willing to listen to other offers,
I haven't had very much time to research where the prices are for these
lately.

As for the desktop, it's a 3.0GHz P4 with HT (one of the last models before
the core solo/duo CPU line), has 1GB of DDR, 75GB hard drive, nVidia GeForce
6800GT graphics card (256MB of memory on that), and a pretty heavy duty case
(and heavy).  This computer was my gaming rig for quite some time.  The
hardware is compatible with both XP and Vista, though I do not have Vista to
provide with it, it currently runs XP, though I have had Vista installed
before to ensure that everything works properly.  I have a ViewSonic LCD
display that I can include as well if desired.  It is a 1930wb (19" I
believe) wide screen display and in good working condition.  I'm asking $250
for the system + display but again am happy to listen to offers.

I'm currently located on Mt. Washington and would provide directions for
buyers, but am also willing and able to meet up anywhere in the Pittsburgh
area.  Please also be aware that the desktop is very heavy.  I'd be happy to
deliver personally in the area as well, particularly for the desktop, if you
are unable to lift or carry heavier items (or just if you prefer not to go
out, haha).
