[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, July 17

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, John Hamill, Tucker  
Trainor, Marty Swartz and Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill  
Computer Recycling Center last Friday.

This update is a bit tardy as our database was being fine-tuned so  
certain data fields could be directly exported to the Goodwill  
ComputerWorks store database so the process for getting our  
refurbished Macs onto the store shelves is streamlined. Goodwill can  
now take our data entry and not have to re-enter the information in  
their database, allowing them to put a Mac on sale much more quickly  
than before.

On Friday, we refurbished 21 Macs to bring our all-time total to  
1,986. We also re-imaged seven Macs from store returns, prepared four  
17-inch CRT Apple Studio Displays, and de-manufactured seven Macs.

We'll have another workday this Friday, July 24. With our volumes  
returning to higher levels, we could see our 2,000th refurbished Mac...
