[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, January 16

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Rich Fitzgibbon, John Hamill and Dave Sevick for  
braving the cold to join me in our toasty-warm work area at the  
Goodwill Computer Recycling Center. Contrary to an ugly rumor, we do  
NOT sit on over-clocked G3 processors to stay warm :-)

Due to an unexpected demand for OS 9 tray-load CD iMacs running OS 9  
at the Goodwill ComputerWorks store, we concentrated on that model  
today. We refurbished 11 Macs, including 8 of the OS 9 iMacs, to bring  
our all-time total to 1,636. We didn't have to de-manufacture a single  
Mac today.

I'm told 6 of the iMacs are destined for the Little Sisters of the Poor.

We'll gather again next Friday, January 23, for another workday. We  
normally arrive about 8:30, break for lunch at noon, and close up  
between 4:00 and 4:30. You're welcome to show up and leave at any time  
as your schedule permits.
