Calendaring on the Mac has always been one area of disappointment to  
me.  iCal works great for what it does but it's severely lacking for  
family / small business sharing.   Apple now has shared calendaring in  
iCal but it requires a full server deployment and still has many  
limitations.

BusyMac - makers of a great utility that allows you sync iCal  
Calendars has announced BusyCal a full featured Calendar app for the  
Mac which I think is definitely worth taking a look at.
