Jan 25-29 ( M-F ), 2010 there will be a comprehensive rehab of a local home led by the good folks at Hosanna Industries.

Many skilled and non-skilled people will be needed to get the job done quickly. We'll meet at Hosanna Industries' campus in Rochester, PA at 9AM each day and carpool to the site. The site will be announced soon. We'll finish a day's work around 3 - 4 PM and depart the worksite to get you back to the Hosanna campus so you can head home.
We need 10 people each day.
You NEED NOT be there all five days ... maybe a day or two ( or five ! ) will be good ... whatever you can do.
It is a great time and memorable experience. Come with a friend. You can work hard or take it slow and do whatever your health allows. You will not be given any tasks you cannot handle. Many times you'll bee needed to simply sweep floors or pick up spare nails with a rolling magnet.
Come as a joyful and open-minded giver of your time. All tools are provided by Hosanna.
Mission workers from Hosanna will direct you and train you as needed. They are highly skilled and work with volunteers every day.
You need not be a "church person" to do this ... this is community outreach at it's best ... organized by a group of highly trained mission workers/general contractors.
As volunteers with a heart for giving your time, it is fully understood you are there not knowing what will need done next. You will work side by side with professional roofers, electricians, plumbers, dry-wallers etc ..... The mission workers of Hosanna and the professional contractors will call out for people ....
"Hey, we need six people to carry ply wood ....."
"Hey, we need 30 people to lift this wall ....."
"Hey, we need 2 people who don't mind getting messy to mix drywall mud ..."
"Hey, can we get 3 short people to crawl under the floor to staple insulation ..."
"Can anyone gather up 5 brooms and bring them to the clean-up team to tidy up before lunch ...."
Which brings me to a very important point .... A WARM LUNCH IS PROVIDED FREE OF COST ....
A ministry called FEED THE FLOCK has a food service that follows Hosanna wherever they go and "feeds" everyone free of charge as their contribution.
The plan for Jan 25 - 29 ( M-F ) is mild demolition, framing, painting, flooring ..... a little of everything.
If you are interested, please call or email EMILY ED to talk more and get yourself registered if you have not worked with Hosanna before. They need to get about 10 volunteers booked for each day. You can be as young as 12 years old, as long as you are accompanied by an adult leader. Youth groups, scout troops, computer groups, college teams .... all join together.
Emily will coordinate what days have been filled and get you processed with the correct health and insurance forms. This needs to done soon.
Again, the mission workers are sensitive to what folks can and cannot handle. They do this year round.
Please watch these two short videos that we have moved from DVD to YouTube. They tell the stories of Hosanna .... and will warm your heart.
