Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, Tucker Trainor and
Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center
today.

Today was our last work day in 2009 at the Goodwill Computer Recycling
Center. Today we refurbished 16 Macs to bring our all-time total to
2,289. We de-manufactured 13 more Macs and three Apple monitors in
addition to re-imaging one G4 eMac (a sweet 1.42 ghz model) from a
store return.

As we get into our annual report for 2009 in the coming days, we'll
regale you with the myriad of statistics of what we've done in this
year. If we've done our FileMaker homework, our database will do all
the counting for us. We hope...

The new year will bring us yet a new location for us to refurbish
Macs, our sixth if you count Dave Sevick's garage. We'll be moving to
Goodwill's new proposed location on 51st St. in Pittsburgh's
Lawrenceville neighborhood sometime late in the first half of next year.

Our next scheduled workday is Friday, January 8, 2010.

The construction on Carson St. at the Goodwill building is complete.
The Carson St. sidewalk in front of the ComputerWorks store is open
again, and the front entrance is again usable. All that's left is the
installation of parking meters along Carson St.

It's been a richly rewarding year for those of us who've had the
pleasure of sharing each other's company at the CRC. We can only wish
all of you experience those feelings yourself in this holiday season.

We hope to see you next year...
