[NPMUG] Epson RX580 Printer/Scanner/Copier--Can't Scan

I have no experience with Epson, but I have had similar problems with  
HP.  Very Frustrating!  I guess the common thread is Apple.  I suppose  
Apple can't get the prize in every category!  I had thought of buying  
another brand of multifunction printer, but your experience shows me  
that it is likely to be fruitless.

When my HP stops scanning, I can sometimes restore it by running the  
install routine again.  I have finally given up and resorted to  
scanning to a flash drive and then carrying the flash drive to my  
MacBook.
