[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, August 14

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Rich Fitzgibbon, John Hamill, Tucker  
Trainor, and Dave Sevick for joining me at the Goodwill Computer  
Recycling Center today.

Today's efforts concentrated on taking care another larger-than-normal  
accumulation of donations that came in during the week. We also spent  
time dealing with those machines that have been filling nooks and  
crannies around the workbenches.

We refurbished 11 Macs, one display, and re-imaged three Macs from  
store returns. 14 additional Macs and displays were de-manufactured as  
passed along Goodwill's recycling chain.

In addition to the inventory inside the Goodwill ComputerWorks Store,  
there are 59 OS X.4 iMacs, 62 OS X.3 iMacs and 12 OS 9.2.2 iMacs in  
storage on another floor.

Our all-time total is now 2,069.

A construction note: The PennDOT Carson St. widening project has  
closed South 26 St. in front of the main entrance to the Goodwill  
Building. There is still pedestrian access to the main door of the  
building on South 26th St.
