Greg and all,
REPLY TO ALL = when you have Mac related summaries, answers, questions
or announcements for everyone

=========
When you see a question posted and have answers crafted for everyone
to use constructively .... then a posting to "everyone" is useful.
When it is not useful .... and is all too often the case on
listserves ... is when an ongoing conversation/chat is posted to
everyone ..... like this paraphrased example of 4 emails that have
been posted as an ongoing and totally unhelpful thread:
8AM
Bill: I need some clarification on FireWire 400 and FireWire 800.
Does anyone know the real speed difference when working on video?
8:15AM
Jamie: Yes. I do
8:34AM
Bill: Well, what is the difference?
8:35AM
Jamie: Depends on your Mac.
9:03AM
Bill: I have an iMac G3 / 600MHZ.
9:10AM
Jamie: Me too, I love that model.
9:15AM
Bill: What about the speed difference?
9:16AM
Jamie: Seems to be the same to me.
This is why the listserve software "Mailman" is set to "reply to
sender" rather than "reply to all". To keep the signal to noise
ratio down.
