[NPMUG] Fax questions

hi all!  This is such a great forum. I have an issue. I use the fax  
that is in the mac to send and receive faxes from medical offices.   
The program is one that I have had more problems than any other. I  
have all the settings correct and it worked relatively fine for a  
while. The biggest problem was trying to send more than one page at a  
time, things seemed to get stuck and I had to shut the system down  
because the scrolling message just kept saying "hanging up...."

Anyway, at this point, I can send a fax, but I cant get one. The  
sender gets an error message and I get the scrolling message:  
ringing.......  ringing..... hang up......

So, I need a solution for this issue. the response when I asked the  
Dr office if they could email the script to me was Noooooooo?
I have a land line mostly to be able to use the fax....

Will any programs out there work with the cable I already have for  
the mac? I see several in Versiontracker, but it would be great if  
someone that has used them. As I said, the sending and receiving to a  
REAL fax machine is very important.
