[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, October 3

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, John Hamill, and Tucker Trainor for  
joining me today at the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center for our  
weekly workday.

Today was another milestone. We rehabilitated our 1,500th Macintosh, a  
500mhz iMac DV donated by the Keystone Oaks School District. Volunteer  
Charlie Hutchens did the honors (photo below).

Today's tally was 30 Macs, bringing our all-time total to 1,509 Macs  
rehabilitated. There are now more than 200 Macintoshes in several  
models in storage ready for sale at Goodwill.

If you don't see something you're looking for, please ask. If you're a  
would-be Mac collector, leave us a list of what you're seeking, and  
we'll post it so items you want can be set aside before they are de- 
manufactured. Today, we were able to snag a Mac Color Classic to fill  
a request left at the ComputerWorks store.

We'll gather at Goodwill again next Friday, October 10.
