[NPMUG] Goodwill CRC update, November 21

Dear Mac friends:

Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Tucker Trainor, Dave Sevick, Marty  
Swartz and Mary Jo Smiley for joining me today at the Goodwill  
Computer Recycling Center.

Today we refurbished 12 Macs, bringing our all-time total to 1,608. We  
also took some time to reorganize our space to make room for greater  
work flow efficiencies in the coming year. We want to stay on top of  
managing the ratio of uncompleted and completed Macs in our work area  
to minimize clutter.

We'll be taking the day after Thanksgiving off next week, but will  
return on Friday, December 5. After that, we'll be taking the rest of  
the year off.

We now have a stock of about 300 refurbished Macs available at  
Goodwill's CompuerWorks store, more than enough to hold them over the  
holiday season.

One note, however: The store's entire stock of Power Macintosh G3 and  
G4 Towers, about 25 machines, was sold to a single customer. The store  
doesn't have any of the Tower models remaining in inventory. Of  
course, we'll make more as donations come in.
