Dear Mac friends:
Many thanks to Charlie Hutchens, Tucker Trainor , Marty Swartz, Dave
Sevick, and John Bauerlein for joining me today at the Goodwill
Computer Recycling Center for our weekly workday.
Today's tally was 18 Macs, including a new model for us, a 1.2 ghz G4
eMac. This brings our all-time total to 1,411 Macs rehabilitated.
There's one of the 1.2 ghz eMacs in the ComputerWorks store right
now, and another two are still on the bench. These Leopard-capable
Macs feature 512 mb RAM, 40 gb hard drives, Combo CD/DVD and a swivel
base.
You can see the various rehabilitated Mac models available at
Goodwill's ComputerWorks store by going to PghMac.com and clicking on
the Apple Stores tab at the top of the page. Click on the "Current
Inventory" button in the first listing to see which models are
available.
If you don't see what you're seeking, please email me. Thinks come in
the door unexpectedly. Today, for example, an excellent condition 733
mhz Graphite G4 Tower with a 250 mb Zip Drive came in the back door,
and it was checked, re-imaged and moved to the ComputerWorks store in
just over 1/2 hour today.
We'll gather at Goodwill again next Friday, September 5.
Hope to see you there!
